Charles A. Wood: Public Appearances
Since my days as an undergraduate astronomy student, I have given hundreds of presentations to school children, teacher conventions, fellow scientists, service clubs, astronomical societies and annual star parties, the general public and even the NASA Administrator. I have been a frequent guest on radio and TV shows, explaining current space(and volcano) discoveries and happenings in the sky. Some of the topics I have discussed are:
-
Moon, Mars, exploration of the solar system
-
Observing the Moon, the sky at night, the Lunar 100
-
Cassini Mission to Saturn
-
The Sun & its effects on Earth
-
Earth from space
-
Volcanoes on Earth and in the solar system
-
Climate change on Earth and the planets
-
Internet education and educational web site design.
The amazing thing is that all of these topics stem from research and activities I have actually done!
I am available to make 10-12 presentations each year. Please
contact me with inquiries about booking, availability and fees for lectures,
appearances and interviews for events, conferences and workshops.
