Brockhaus seems to have been a publisher of encyclopedia type compendia that were popular at the end of the 19th century in Germany. Here is an attractive map, that was also reproduced other places, from an 1894 astronomy book I got many years ago. The main map is based on the Beer & Madler small map and the corner drawings are by Trouvelot.
