1931: Walter Goodacre (1856-1938)

Goodacre lived in London, where he was a successful businessman. He was an avid amateur lunar observer and succeeded Elger as the second Director of the Lunar Section of the British Astronomical Association. In 1910 he published his rarely seen 77" diameter map of the Moon, and in 1931 he privately published his magnum opus, The Moon: with a Description of its Surface Formations.
