1934:F Chemla-Lamech - Etude Monographique des plus grandes Formations Lunaires

Plate from Lamech's monograph showing the craters Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus and Arzachel. The plate is inscribed at the top left to Mr. Charles L. Macdonald, who was the Director of the British Astronomical Association's Lunar Section at the time. The drawing appears to be a tracing of crater outlines from a photograph but the notes on the middle left give the dates and circumstances that Lamech observed. Presumably he added telescopically seen detail to the tracing from photos.
