MAP OF THE MOON by W.H. WESLEY and MARY A. BLAGG
|
In 1935 the International Astronomical Union published a two volume set to establish a new nomenclature for the Moon. The first volume, by Blagg and Karl Mueller, was Named Lunar Formations, a catalog of crater names and positions. Wesley and Blagg drew the Map of the Moon which showed the new nomenclature. Wesley, who was a relatively skilled draftsman, drew the four inner charts, and Miss Blagg, who had more enthusiasm than ability, drew the limb regions after Wesley died.
