1997: RB Kelsey: Welcome to the Moon. Naturegraph Publishers, Happy Camp, CA.

This self published (?) book introduces new observers to the delights of the Moon, including relatively current understandings of lunar geology. The book is marred by extraordinarily poor illustrations - including one washed out photo which is reproduced 4-5 times, and numerous diagrams such as the one below.

It is hard to believe this sketch map was drawn in the last few years - it looks remarkably like the first attempts to draw the Moon's features 300 years ago. The large crater in the middle is Petavius, but the rendering is rather generic!
