As soon as I saw this I knew I wanted a copy. This is a wonderfully stylistic interpretation of the crags and depressions of the Moon that is reminiscent of the 1600s maps of " rel="nofollow Rheita and " rel="nofollow Fontana with their exuberant crater rays. Tycho is prominent at bottom center and Copernicus looks like a jester's hat with bells at the ends of tassels, and Kepler is wearing a pleated tutu. On the left is the pineapple of Crisium, and Serenitatis looks like it escaped from Van Gogh's " rel="nofollow Starry Night painting. You might be thinking that this is spectacular but they carved it backwards. Remember, however, that this is a giant (32" wide) woodblock and that paper pressed against its inked surface when pulled off will be right and left reversed, with Crisium and all the rest in their rightful places.
