Ray-Streaked Mare
image by Alex Sanz, Ayllon, Spain
A squat mountain and another looking like a crude axe. Two simple craters and chains of secondary craters and rays, with a few tiny dark halo craters excavating mare from beneath the ray veneer. Where are we? And can you name at least four events that can be unambiguously placed in a stratigraphic sequence?
