My observation of the Sun on this mostly clear evening (6:00pm CDT) reveals NO further evidence of sunspot region 1019, which had been visible to me from May 31-June 3. Now, back to complete (?) quiescence. The Moon set at 3:17am this morning, and in the 45 minutes of usable darkness afterward, NO auroras were seen, and no elusive NLCs seen afterward - so far. As of this date, I am coming to 80 solar observation days short of #8,000. What would Heinrich Schwabe think?
